Baratang Islands

Baratang Islands in Middle Andaman is a one-day trip from Port Blair City. You need to start early morning around 4:00 am from Port Blair city, and only then you will be back to your room by 5:00 pm in the evening.

It is famous for mesmerizing Mangrove Creeks, Limestone Caves, and Mud Volcano.

You can choose to travel either by waterways or roadways, both the journeys are exhilarating in their own way. If you choose the roadways, you are gonna love the drive through the dense forest more than watching the caves. And in case you are lucky, you can witness a few Jarawas as well. Also, to reach the Middle Strait, you will have to take the ferry to cross the passage between North and Middle Andaman.

From Middle Andaman, you must get tickets to Baratang Islands, and the actual journey starts. You get to travel in a small boat that takes you through the beautiful mangrove creeks to the Limestone Caves.

The trip to Baratang Islands starts with Rs. 6000/- for a 4-Seater AC cab and per person cost for the boat ticketing would cost Rs. 800/- per head.
